Sweet, simple cinnamon vanilla coffee syrup loaded with cinnamon sticks

Ingredients
1/2cupGranulated Sugar
1/2cupLight brown sugar, packed
1cupWater
2-3Cinnamon sticks, or ground cinnamon
1tbspVanilla extract
Instructions
In a medium saucepan combine the sugars, water, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium-high heat until simmering, simmer for 3-5 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved.
Reduce heat to medium-low and allow to reduce for 10-12 minutes. The mixture should be fragrant and thickened slightly. Allow to cool and transfer to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to a month.
Notes
**Cinnamon sticks can be substituted for ground cinnamon, or use both!
