Preheat oven to 350 degrees F, line or grease a muffin tin and set aside.
In a medium saucepan combine the apple cider, nutmeg, allspice, ginger, and cinnamon Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and allow to simmer until reduced by about half. Allow to cool slightly.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, stir to combine.
In a large mixing bowl combine the spiced apple cider mixture, vanilla, melted butter, milk, and the egg. Whisk well to combine. Add in the sugars and mix again.
Add in the dry ingredients and fold to combine, remove any lumps if necessary.
Using a portion scoop, fill each muffin tin 2/3 of the way full with batter. Bake for 20-22 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Transfer to a cooling rack.
In a small bowl melt the remaining butter for the topping, in a separate bowl mix together the cinnamon and sugar. Dip each muffin into the melted butter than into the cinnamon sugar mix, and enjoy!
