Shrimp, Italian sausage, and tomatoes in a simple Cajun cream sauce loaded with parmesan cheese. Tossed with cooked pasta for a filling and flavorful meal!
Cook noodles according to package instructions, set aside.
In a large saucepan heat butter over medium-high heat until melted. Add in the raw shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Sauté for 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp start to turn pink.
Add in the ground Italian sausage and sauté until cooked through. To the pan add in the tomatoes and heavy cream, stir to combine. Let simmer over medium heat for 3-4 minutes to thicken. Sprinkle in the parmesan cheese and stir to melt.
Add in the cooked noodles, toss to combine, and serve garnished with fresh parsley and extra parmesan cheese.
Notes
*Any type of noodle will work in this recipe.*Use store-bought or homemade Cajun seasoning. You can make you own with paprika, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, dried oregano, cayenne, and dried thyme. * If your cream sauce is too thick, add in additional cream or milk.
