French Press
Ingredients
1 1/2cupsGround coffee of choice
3cupsFiltered water
Cream, milk, or sugar as desired
Instructions
Add the ground coffee into the carafe of a French press, top with filtered water and stir gently to combine. Place the lid on the French press but don't press down on the filter. Allow to seep at room temperature for 24 hours or for at least 18 hours.
After the coffee has had time to steep, press the filter down slowly to separate the liquid from the grounds. Store in the fridge until ready to use. This will make a cold brew coffee concentrate, you will want to dilute with water or milk. I suggest a ratio of 2:1, 2 parts cold brew to 1 part water. Adjust this to your liking, add in any milk or sugar as desired.
Notes
**As suggested, this recipe makes a cold brew concentrate. I recommend doing a 2:1 or 3:2 ratio of cold brew to milk/water, adjust as desired. **This will keep in the fridge for up to a week. You can store in the French press or transfer to an airtight container or carafe.
