Brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla extract make a perfectly spiced, sweet syrup. Great for coffee, lattes, or drizzling over desserts.
In a small saucepan combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, and vanilla extract. Heat over medium-high heat until simmering, simmer for 3-5 minutes or until the sugar is dissolved.
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar, 1/2 cup Light brown sugar, 1 cup Water, 2-3 Cinnamon sticks, 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
Reduce heat to medium-low and allow to reduce for 10-12 minutes. The mixture should be fragrant and thickened slightly. Allow to cool and transfer to an airtight container. Store in the fridge for up to a month.
