No-Bake Golden Oreo Freezer Pie (Easy Summer Dessert)

Looking for a simple chilled dessert, this no-bake golden Oreo freezer pie is it! A creamy, decadent filling loaded with chopped Oreo’s is chilled on top of a golden Oreo crust and topped with whipped cream and extra Oreo’s, a triple use of golden Oreo’s. This is a great make ahead option for summer BBQs or backyard get togethers, kids and adults will love it!

Make this freezer pie in the morning or day before and keep in the freezer until ready to slice and serve. I like to pipe on some homemade whipped cream and add extra Oreo’s – you could also top with fresh berries or extra crushed Oreo’s.

  • Cool whip: store-bought cool whip makes this quick and easy, homemade whipped cream may be substituted.
  • Golden Oreo’s: as shown above with the recipe variations, this can be made with any Oreo flavor.
  • Cream cheese: make sure this is softened for best results, it is whipped and combined with the cool whip. Use full-fat for best results.
  • Cream: heavy whipping cream is needed if you are making your own whipped topping, if not, the mixture can be thinned with milk or half & half.

How To Make The Oreo Pie

Quick overview:

  • Crush Oreos and combine crust. Press into a pan.
  • Prep filling and fold in Oreo’s. Add to pan with crust.
  • Chill completely. Prep whipped cream. Pipe on whipped cream and slice.

  • Place the Oreo’s in a food processor and pulse until fine crumbs form, pour in the melted butter and pulse again until combined. Pour into a 9″ springform pan and pack down using the bottle of a measuring cup or jar. Set aside.

  • In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment or using a hand mixer, whip cream cheese for 3-4 minutes until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla, heavy cream, and powdered sugar.
  • Fold in the cool whip until evenly combined and then fold in the chopped Oreo’s. Transfer the mixture into the springform pan and spread evenly over the crust. Cover and freeze for 4-6 hours until set, if desired sprinkle a few crushed Oreo’s on top before freezing.
  • Once the pie has chilled, make the whip cream by adding heavy cream to a stand or hand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment. Whip on medium-high speed for 4-6 minutes or until stiff peaks begin to form. Mix in the vanilla and powdered sugar and whip again to combine.
  • Transfer whipped cream to a piping bag or spread onto pie with an offset spatula. Top the frozen Oreo pie with whipped cream and extra Oreo cookies, slice, and enjoy!

Tools I Find Helpful

  • Springform Pan: this is my go to pan for cookie cakes, it easily releases for decorating!
  • Rubber Spatula – a must have! I like these because they don’t come apart so I don’t have to worry about water getting inside the spatula and causing mold.

For The Crust

  • 12 oz. Golden Oreos, about 25 cookies
  • 6 tbsp Unsalted butter, melted

For The Filling

  • 8 oz. Cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups Powdered sugar
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp Heavy whipping cream
  • 16 oz. Cool whip
  • 5-6 Golden Oreos, chopped

For The Whipped Cream Topping – Optional

  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup Powdered sugar

Instructions
 

For The Crust
