How do I freeze my homemade chicken patties?
Make the chicken patties according to the recipes, portion and, form. Place in a single layer on a sheet pan. Place in the freezer until hard. Transfer to a zip top bag or freezer safe container. Store in the freezer for up to 4 months. See below for how to cook frozen patties.
Can I air fry frozen chicken patties?
You can air fry frozen chicken patties straight from the freezer. Preheat air fryer at 350 for 18-20 minutes. Air fry for 18-20, flipping halfway through. Check that the internal temperature is 165, if not air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes until done!
How long do you cook chicken patties in the air fryer?
Homemade chicken patties cook in about 15 minutes in the air fryer at 400 degrees F. Cooking time may need to be adjusted based on size and thickness.

- In a large bowl combine mayo, apple cider vinegar, mustard, salt, and pepper. Whisk to combine. Add in coleslaw mixed and toss to combine.
For the chicken patties:
- In a large mixing bowl combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, eggs, garlic, mustard, Worcestershire, and seasonings. Divide the mixture into 5 even portions, form into patties.
- Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F. with a cook time of 15 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place chicken patties in an even layer*. Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping half way through. Patties are done once they are crispy and have an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. – adjust cooking time as needed.
- Toast buns. Serve ground chicken patties on toasted buns topped with slaw. Enjoy immediately or keep in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Notes:
*All 5 patties should fit in the air fryer, if not, cook in batches.
*You can make chicken patties bigger, just increase cooking time as needed.
