Recipe FAQs:

Can you freeze uncooked egg rolls?

Yes, you can! Simply prepare the egg roll mix and roll egg rolls according to instructions. Place on a sheet pan and free until solid. Transfer to a freezer bag or container and freeze for 1-2 months. Do not thaw before cooking.

How long do you cook frozen egg rolls in the air fryer?

Frozen egg rolls take about 10-14 minutes in the air fryer. Since the mixture is cooked through you just need to heat them up until warm and crispy. 10-14 minutes is perfect for warming the inside while getting a crispy exterior.

How to get perfectly crispy egg rolls?

To get perfectly crispy egg rolls, don’t overcrowd the air fryer, place in a single layer. This helps the whole roll get crispy and avoids soggy spring rolls. Air frying at 375 degrees F also helps get the perfect golden brown exterior without burning them.

Pro tips & tricks:

  • Don’t overfill egg rolls, the mixture will bubble out while cooking if they are overfilled.
  • Use water to seal the egg roll wrappers so they don’t come open.
  • Spray well with cooking spray before air fryer so egg roll wrappers get super crispy.
  • Air fry immediately, don’t let egg roll wrappers sit too long with filling in them or they will get soggy.
  • Enjoy as soon as possible, these are best when they are warm and crispy!
